Dr. Anasua Chakraborty is a Board Certified Physician who specializes in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine. At Northeastern Pulmonary Associates, she and her staff serve the residents of the Northeastern part of Connecticut and many neighboring communities.
After completing her residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, Connecticut, Dr. Chakraborty went on to complete several fellowships including fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University, Critical Care Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University and subsequently Sleep Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University.
Dr. Chakraborty has been involved in educating medical students and residents affiliated with University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine at Manchester Memorial Hospital and Rockville General Hospital. Dr. Chakraborty has been involved in medical research and education throughout her career and has many research projects, poster presentations and publications to her credit. She has also been active in volunteer work in various capacities for educating children about healthy living and involvement of community effort and improving quality of life for individuals.
She has been a member of the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians. She has been a recipient of state medal in community medicine and honors in otolaryngology, also an honor in preventive and social medicine and has been a recipient of American Thoracic Society Fellows Track Symposium award recipient. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Bengali languages.
